a life spent making things matter.

The throughline
There’s no tidy way to explain a creative life. Colton’s has included singing into a microphone, calling lighting cues, building a character from the ground up, arranging music for a room full of voices, and making maps for worlds that don’t exist—yet.
It all belongs to the same practice: noticing what a moment needs, then giving it shape. This is where the experiments, obsessions, and favorite projects live.

Each practice is a door into a different part of the work. Pick one—or take the grand tour.

The music room
A baritone, vocal percussionist, arranger, conductor, and collaborator. Colton’s musical work thrives where the individual voice becomes something larger.

The teaching practice
“The more parts of the process we understand, the more fully we can make something together.”
Teaching, for Colton, is an invitation to explore. Through music and theatre, he gives students a wider view of the whole production—and the confidence to find where they belong in it.

Worlds in the works
Beyond the stage, Colton is building worlds of political intrigue, myth, and adventure. Fate’s Crossing and Anvirya’s Chronicles are ongoing journeys through Vermillia—made for the table, the page, and the imagination.
